Typhoon I shake my head when guys come in our shop and agonize over Prov1 or AVX. They hit it 200 yards off the tee.

Dammit John, they want that spin they are so good at applying, around the greens!!
If they hit 200 off the tee, you know damn well they are proficient at applying spin when needed. Esp. with a LW in their hands!!

I liked the Pinnacle Exception. I thought that ball and the TF Gamer were inexpensive balls that did everything pretty well. Other balls might be longer off the tee, but then unusable around the green. There's only been a few balls without urethane covers that I felt were still decent inside 40 yards.

Hammer4413 not at golf pro shops. It's hard to buy a box of 3 for that at a pro shop, only slightly exaggerating

I play once in awhile with a guy who is a 30 handicapper. He hits a driver about 170 yards. He plays with all the pro v’s he finds and is a ball snob about some others. I told him point blank he would be better off with Nitro balls.
