Pirate shipping.
I just sold a club on eBay that is going to Asia. I just realized the Global Shipping Program has been replaced by a new international program. The GSP was super easy. I hope the new one is too. Doesn’t look bad from what I’ve read. Print the USPS label and send the club.

Par4QC Ok, package shows delivered 'at front door'. Does customs just send a bill, or is this normal delivery?
Looks like normal delivery. UPS usually gives you a yellow "attempted delivery" notice with amount owing.
Cross your fingers.
Fedex sent me a bill in the mail. That one was two years ago.
:/
Spuzz Cross your fingers.
I'm not worried, not coming from my pockets. He's happy with the situation and was expecting higher costs than what he's incurred with the product and shipping so far. I'll hear from him later today.
If it would be this easy every time, I may do more selling up that way. Not really a big deal for me, it's always on the buyer, but I don't like seeing people having to pay extra for anything. Unless it is really worth it.
Just an update. I got a quote from the counter at a UPS Store to ship a 10 pound 48"x6"x6" box across the state of Florida. $45 UPS Ground is cheapest rate. Went home printed UPS Ground label from PirateShip for $14.42.

sdandrea1 Yeah, I haven't figured out the 'WTF' yet myself.
Near as I can get in my mind is that someone has hacked into USPS & UPS, making up numbers for their systems and are taking their payments. It's so cheap everyone is using it. Instead of taking millions up front, they do a bit at a time so it's not noticed. Scans show good, so they go through.
Maybe it's Mike.
j/k
I will add something here I noticed last night.....insurance through PirateShip. Don't bother. Long story short, if the package gets delivered, insurance is moot. Damaged goods or not. (from what I understood from reading their site)

reading? nah, seems more like you might be illiterate or stone drunk, which would explain a lot of your other nonsense on this topic .
https://support.pirateship.com/en/articles/1068431-does-pirate-ship-offer-insurance
"USPS will provide compensation for the postage cost for missing package claims. When filing a missing package claim with USPS, there will be a field available in the claims form to declare your postage cost. There, you'll need to enter the value you paid for postage in Pirate Ship, and must use your Shipment page as proof of payment.
For claims for damaged packages, USPS won't provide compensation for the postage cost. This is because USPS has fulfilled the underlying service that was paid for (transit and delivery of the package), even if the contents were damaged in the process. So, you can only claim the product cost in the Priority Mail claims process.
"
They won't reimburse the POSTAGE cost for a misdelivered or damaged package. That's about as night and day difference as what you claimed. Further, it has nothing to do with pirate ship, that USPS policy and would be the same exact thing as if you went into the post office, bought postage+insurance there in person, and had the same thing happen to your package.

UnholyDefenestrator78 Well, is that for the extra insurance that you might buy? Which comes from PirateShip, not USPS or UPS.
I do read quite well, in fact.
Loss claims will not be covered if the Carrier confirms the successful delivery of a Package to the correct destination address.
Meaning.....if everything is destroyed inside the box......tough fucking shit buddy!! Contact the P.O. to get your $50 for that $200 broken item!! And good luck then.
You cannot buy extra ins. from USPS or UPS when using PirateShip, you only get their minimum. The extra ins. you purchase comes through PS' Shipsurance.
Par4QC Reported that PirateShip makes its money through partnerships with UPS and USPS, with no fees or surcharges. UPS Stores are privately owned.

Hey look, OMG, QC is back to go all
On his previous
OK, but seriously, where to start.

In the above you are talking about a package that has damaged contents
Yet,
You then go to quote their policy on
PACKAGE LOSS CLAIMS
Par4QC Loss claims will not be covered if the Carrier confirms the successful delivery of a Package to the correct destination address.
Now,
Bear with me here, as this is apparently difficult for you,
But PACKAGE LOSS CLAIMS ARE NOT THE SAME AS PACKAGE DAMAGE CLAIMS.
In shipping and freight
https://www.partnership.com/pdffiles/hosted%20pdfs/Freight_Claims.pdf
Generally speaking in the freight and shipping logistics industry there are claims for
there are claims for
Package loss
Package damage
Package shortage
Package concealed damage
Package concealed shortage
Even your preferred favorite company walks you through explanations on different types of claims, exclusions, policies, effects of coverage, etc .
https://www.shipstation.com/blog/dealing-with-damaged-or-lost-packages/
This isn’t your homeowner’s policy. The word loss here doesn’t mean “loss of value caused by damage”.
It means …
THE PACKAGE IS FUCKING LOST!
As in, you claim you didn’t receive it. MISSING. LOST. NOT RECEIVED. GONE. STOLEN. Etc.
So why would PirateShip and their Insurance Broker/Agent not be involved or cover a package reported LOST when the Carrier claims it was in fact delivered? Because this involves criminal action such as porch pirates, internal employee theft, etc. In other words things that need to involve the OIG, Local , State , or Federal Law enforcement , or more, depending on the scope and specifics of the situation.
Now, do please continue going on badmouthing a company over something you don’t even understand, despite the fact that it’s so obvious and easy to understand that even someone you think isn’t worth human life and should kill themselves just fucking schooled your dumb ass on it.
ode what are the customs fees? I did see via pirateship there is a cheap option to shop to you guys but always wondered the customs cost
There is no real consistency to what is applied and it varies from service to service.
Canada Border Services identifies any item with a declared value of > $20 as being subject to tax and duty. Tax varies by Province slightly but for Ontario is 13% on the converted value to Canadian dollars. So a $20 US value package = $27 Cdn would be assessed tax of $3.51 Cdn on top.
The big hit that is possible using a courier service are brokerage/handling fees. brokerage fees generally apply to regular ground shipments and cover the costs of processing the paperwork and paying the taxes and duties to the Canada Border Services Agency. I'm not exactly sure what they charge these days for brokerage fees but it used to be $60 , plus tax and duty.
If the item is sent as a "gift" the value to be hit with tax/duty jumps to $60 USD. That is why in many cases I will ask the shipper to declare as a gift and value of $50.
One way to avoid the brokerage fee is to refuse delivery and then self clear the item. The process takes longer than simply paying the delivery man and so only worth it really if you have the time and the $ amount is meaningful to you.
USPS can often be the better way, taxes and duties are hit or miss but more miss. My last US inbound package sent USPS then picked up by Canada Post had a "processing fee" fee tacked onto it of ~$10 plus the taxes, on an item valued about $40.
Many items get assessed with duty but are exempt, here one has to apply to be reimbursed. Again it might not be worth it for $10.
Bottom line, it's unpredictable as what will or will not be levied in fees. While I don't receive as many packages from the US as I once did, still get a couple a month. I'm dinged with tax/duty maybe 10% of the time..

Wait am I understanding this correctly,: You regularly ask people to help commit fraud ?

Anyone on GolfBuzz would be an idiot to ever look up/research anything on the internet.
Esp. when the only person that does all that input is a member here. Mensa members ask that person for corrections/proofreads.

womp womp.
For most people it's not hard to simply say "I was wrong" in most circumstances and move on.
But it must be hard to do when it would be admitting that someone who think is a sub-human piece of shit is better than you and made you look really foolish.
