Spuzz I've always used Priority, so this would be new to me also. I was surprised when I saw delivery time only 4 days. Back when I was shipping up there every week, I had hella luck getting things delivered in 3-5 days, Priority. They must 'keep a list' as it started out being 14 days every time. But after 50 times or so, it suddenly dropped.
I just sold a club on eBay that is going to Asia. I just realized the Global Shipping Program has been replaced by a new international program. The GSP was super easy. I hope the new one is too. Doesn’t look bad from what I’ve read. Print the USPS label and send the club.

Par4QC Ok, package shows delivered 'at front door'. Does customs just send a bill, or is this normal delivery?
Looks like normal delivery. UPS usually gives you a yellow "attempted delivery" notice with amount owing.
Cross your fingers.
Fedex sent me a bill in the mail. That one was two years ago.
:/

I'm not worried, not coming from my pockets. He's happy with the situation and was expecting higher costs than what he's incurred with the product and shipping so far. I'll hear from him later today.
If it would be this easy every time, I may do more selling up that way. Not really a big deal for me, it's always on the buyer, but I don't like seeing people having to pay extra for anything. Unless it is really worth it.
Just an update. I got a quote from the counter at a UPS Store to ship a 10 pound 48"x6"x6" box across the state of Florida. $45 UPS Ground is cheapest rate. Went home printed UPS Ground label from PirateShip for $14.42.

sdandrea1 Yeah, I haven't figured out the 'WTF' yet myself.
Near as I can get in my mind is that someone has hacked into USPS & UPS, making up numbers for their systems and are taking their payments. It's so cheap everyone is using it. Instead of taking millions up front, they do a bit at a time so it's not noticed. Scans show good, so they go through.
Maybe it's Mike.
j/k
I will add something here I noticed last night.....insurance through PirateShip. Don't bother. Long story short, if the package gets delivered, insurance is moot. Damaged goods or not. (from what I understood from reading their site)

reading? nah, seems more like you might be illiterate or stone drunk, which would explain a lot of your other nonsense on this topic .
https://support.pirateship.com/en/articles/1068431-does-pirate-ship-offer-insurance
"USPS will provide compensation for the postage cost for missing package claims. When filing a missing package claim with USPS, there will be a field available in the claims form to declare your postage cost. There, you'll need to enter the value you paid for postage in Pirate Ship, and must use your Shipment page as proof of payment.
For claims for damaged packages, USPS won't provide compensation for the postage cost. This is because USPS has fulfilled the underlying service that was paid for (transit and delivery of the package), even if the contents were damaged in the process. So, you can only claim the product cost in the Priority Mail claims process.
"
They won't reimburse the POSTAGE cost for a misdelivered or damaged package. That's about as night and day difference as what you claimed. Further, it has nothing to do with pirate ship, that USPS policy and would be the same exact thing as if you went into the post office, bought postage+insurance there in person, and had the same thing happen to your package.

UnholyDefenestrator78 Well, is that for the extra insurance that you might buy? Which comes from PirateShip, not USPS or UPS.
I do read quite well, in fact.
Loss claims will not be covered if the Carrier confirms the successful delivery of a Package to the correct destination address.
Meaning.....if everything is destroyed inside the box......tough fucking shit buddy!! Contact the P.O. to get your $50 for that $200 broken item!! And good luck then.
You cannot buy extra ins. from USPS or UPS when using PirateShip, you only get their minimum. The extra ins. you purchase comes through PS' Shipsurance.
Par4QC Reported that PirateShip makes its money through partnerships with UPS and USPS, with no fees or surcharges. UPS Stores are privately owned.
