The Reds and "Opening Day" is a huge deal, in this area. Damn near a holiday. As much as I love baseball, I've never been, nor have the desire to partake in that mess.
Anything unique to where you live?

LBlack14 been to a few Brewer openers at the old county stadium.....best is to link up with a tavern and get a bus ride down and enjoy their tent and festivities in the lot before going in (if that's a thing).....that way transport back is taken care of and one does not need to lay off the sauce
. The best part about it is going with a group and having fun. Whilst Miller Park (is it still called that
) is cool the modern stadium has 0 character!
Ynotgolf Titusville, Pa. Where oil was discovered.
Titusville has an interesting and important history indeed in the context of industrial advancement of the petroleum economy, but oil was discovered millennia earlier and certainly not there. I think it would be far more fair to say "where the first major oil production well in the USA was drilled"

Why must you nit pick every single post that anyone makes.
I'm not big on people telling things that are blatantly false or misleading. It seemed like that was your intent.
shrug

That makes you full of shit. I had no intent to fool anyone.
Mean what you say, and say what you mean.

Yeah, same here. Its like 20's with wind chill too. The Detroit Tigers have it right, I think they don't play a home game until May because of the cold at their place
Ynotgolf You don't have to get so defensive. You said oil was discovered there. UD78 said no, it wasn't.
All you had to so was say, 'you are right... this was the first place in the continental US where oil was drilled'... and then leave it at that. Why is that so hard? Why get defensive and call names?
? The Tigers play at home next week and have 12 more home games in April.
But in all seriousness
But instead, he went for the
And hoped that
But in fact
Because
And we all know

This morning the uniqueness of my area is that no one was hurt in last nights storms. At least not as yet. An Amish community about 5 miles North of me was hit last night with many buildings suffering damage. I say at least not yet because the Amish community is very close knit and limited in communication to us English. We'll say some prayers.
FauxAmish I drove through a debris field on the south side of Tupelo, MS today. It was a fairly narrow stripe of garbage maybe 100 yards wide crossing east-west as far as I could see in both directions. A factory or warehouse on the west side of the highway looked to be missing many sections of roof. I couldn’t see any other damage and haven’t heard about any fatalities from last night in MS. Hopefully the Elvis birth home is still intact.
