Typhoon

My personal opinion on KBS shafts is stay the hell away. Why can’t they make a shaft with a tip that holds up? I don’t want to have deal with warranty or no warranty shaft change issues.

      Typhoon I’m just hoping TM expands the graphite line a little bit with some heavier options.

      The people that use/want to use, graphite do not want 'heavy'. The Recoils are around 75g, which should be perfect for most. Anything much heavier is going to have stiffer tips/less torque, and then you just as well be using steel as it's cheaper(mostly).

          Bite your tongue. I know I'm in the extreme minority but Iike graphite irons over 100g....and not X flex lol

              Whether 2nd hand or Practice, they are still higher per dozen than 2 dozen new Kirklands. More than I want to pay to occasionally hit a longer drive. Eguller’s stash is a bargain, but Costco is only 5 miles away and is cash and carry.

                KCee I'm just saying that if the graphite is 100 g., then they are not going to feel much different than steel shafts. At that weight, there just is not much give or shock absorption. I've had/used graphite over 100, but only had them for the 'looks', they played like steel, even in R flex. And it was when I was much younger.

                I'm not going to buy into that about heavy graphite shafts, sorry. Buy softer grips. 😉

                    Par4QC I have a set with Recoil 110 F4 and I find they dampen shock better than my set with DG 105 R300 VSS. Both work for me but my bad right wrist can tell the difference after 18.

                        Absolutely Kcee. Lightweight graphite is perfect for older players with slower swings. There is absolutely a need for heavier graphite. As the stability gets better you need the heavier weight to reach a wider range of golfers. The MMT I hit, the 125 and 105 have metal in the tip, the Steelfiber too but they still have a different feel at impact than steel does. It’s the shock absorption I feel.

                          ??? Who wants a “sponge” in their hands? The one part of the club you touch you want to feel right. Those spongy grips, if you have any speed or are a digger will not be stable enough.

                                  The Kirkland wedges are really good units. I've been using @Bravopilot 's 56 degree in stock steel firm and it just keeps getting better. I wouldn't be surprised if the conversion to graphite in these guys gets undone.

                                    I'm putting @Bravopilot 's Kirkland putter away. I'm falling in love with it and I don't want it dinged up when I return it. I might have to get one.
