Kirkland Irons
I must be in a very small window. For the two rounds I've played it (v2) it was just as long as anything I've played except the TP5 (that somehow occasionally transports me back 15 years ago in age and strength) which I can't easily afford. I've tried at least 2 dozen ball brands/models over the past two years.
johnnydoom Are you guys talking about the COSTCO balls? Didn't realize there are two versions??
sdandrea1 Just back from Las Cruces and no boxes. I will get one and send them out this weekend, maybe tomorrow
johnnydoom Buy used TP5's?

Yes. The first version supposedly had a cover that was easily damaged. They've claimed to have improved that with version 2. Whether or not anything changed with regards to performance I cannot say just yet - although a member of the forum did send me some of the first version and so I should be able to make a head-to-head comparison next time I play.

Spuzz Apparently I'm one of the few that more spin doesn't hurt. Can't really say it helps, but apparently I get enough extra carry with the spin to make up for any lost roll. I also don't generally hit a lot of curve balls, so the spin doesn't much penalize me in that area either.
johnnydoom Thanks, not sure why I didn't realize that.
When they appear in the stores, I'm going to open a set and put just the 8, 9, & W in my cart and see what happens at checkout.
