Walterjn If the melting ice caps are redistributing weight, wouldn't that weight distribution be even across the whole planet?
Well, the ones at the North Pole would flow south, so Canada would be flooded, unless they have a lot of canyons. If so, there will be even more adventures for folks like Equller that love fishing. Prolly be warmer also with not having all that ice creating cold air blowing down.
Then we have the South Pole matter. It would just fall off into space, due to the positioning of it....at the bottom.
So, and mind you I'm no expert, but I think the answer to your question would have to be no. There will be a lot less weight at the bottom. BUT...if the weight at the top is equal to what ran off, and flows evenly across, then it would be yes.
But I'm just guessing, admittedly so.
