GB is playing great. Gotta root for them.
Lol
That was a helluva game. Finally a game in the postseason.....Being a packer fan, my MF,in heart was pounding that game....Lots of pacing back and forth. Whoa baby, nothing like the postseason....That is 8 in a row for GB and Rodgers #'s are redic during that stretch....Nobody that I've ever seen can snap a throw like Rodgers. And let's not forget about Mason Crosby, feel so good for him he a had a really crappy year 2-3 years ago and the organization stuck with him and he came thru with two long ones....Boom!
And a thought about Dallas, they will be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come....Very talented!
Oh and Nick Perry batting that ball down on 3rd down before there game tieing FG by Dallas was huge. They were poised to score a td!
Dallas is definitely looking up for the future. Was huge just to come back from 18 down to tie. I figured the Defense would be the shortfall this year, and sadly I was right.
Got to hand it to Green Bay for playing a very good, mistake free game. They made the plays when they had too. Dallas played sloppy early and couldn't quite over come the mistakes.
BTW, that was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a while. Blown calls for both teams that were pretty obvious.
GB wide outs were being held....Very obvious, at least 3 were missed....Same for the pass rushers, Clay was held several times with no call! If they base moving on to the next round by performance, these guys are staying home for the NFC championship game.
Aaron has just really stepped up to the plate and delivered. I was very critical of his mechanics in the middle of the season, questioning if he was maybe past his prime... but he has definitely risen to the challenge and has his team playing exceptional football.
Couldn't have been more wrong about this guy. To not only make the playoffs, but beat the best team in the NFC regular season - huge, huge rebound. All credit to him and his team.
Dallas is/was overrated. They're not a balanced team and the susceptibility was shown today. Their defense is suspect. Dak Prescott is no Aaron Rodgers even with "the best offensive line in the NFL".
Not as good as Rodgers, but he matched Rodgers today. I don't think he ever looked like a Rookie all season. Quite a feat for a late round draft pick.
Prescott impressed just about everyone who looked at the overall Dallas team objectively. One season doesn't predict the future, but he had a great season and led his team to the playoffs his rookie season. As did Elliot too for that matter, a huge part of their success.
Considering where the outlook of this team was when Romo went down in the preseason, you cannot help but be optimistic looking forward if you're a Dallas fan. Their defense struggled Sunday night, but then again when Aaron Rodgers is on - he makes a lot of defenses struggle.
GB was riding an impressive wave of momentum, and I don't think Atlanta can beat them.
This may sound dumb, but I was pleased every time Dallas ran the ball.....although Elliot is a stud, GB's strength on d is stopping the run....and they weren't going to put up enough pts running the ball + it was taking time off the clock. Going against GB, if you get hot offensively, you will have a punchers chance because they do not mange the clock, given their pass happy style. Gunter could not cover my grandmother and they left him on Dez all game long. I would have passed first and draw play off of that and gash them that way. I thought Dak looked great, his numbers were better than Rodgers although he did not outplay him. Dallas is a better team, but when you have an offense like GB with Rodgers, basically firing on all cylinders, you are up against a juggernaut.....that was without their most complete wideout. GB's secondary has been on life support all year and we keep getting by and surviving....next week will be an even tougher test and Matt Ryan and Julio Jones/crew are licking their chops to get at GB's corners, cuz they are terrible, the worst in the league IMO. Life support being provided by an occasional pass rush, and Aaron Rodgers. One or both of those struggle, the plug will be pulled!
Packers won't be at full strength against Atlanta. (Who is this time of year.) I can't see Jordie Nelson returning with broken ribs - not a quick healing injury. I'd make Atlanta the favorite in that contest.
New England's the highest ranked defense remaining in the post-season. Will be a helluva match-up with Pittsburgh. I'd give the edge to New England.
"Choked" is a wildly ignorant misrepresentation here. Dallas faced their nightmare scenario of being way down early but stayed the course and killed GB in the second half. GB led by 18 in the 2nd quarter and won by just 3.
Great game. Prescott played great for 2.5 quarters. Rodgers might be in the next "Avengers" movie. He's inhuman.
I'd actually credit that win to Rodgers being out of his mind good. That and the Cowboys need a receiver that can catch a ball that hits him in the hands. I was not really a believer in them, but Dak has got the stuff.
I watched the game and agree that it was a great game to watch. As for wanting one team to win...NOT. These are two of my least favored teams. Too bad there wasn't a way they both could have lost. That being said, they are both well run teams with good/great players.
nightmare scenario....ROTFLMFAO, dont choke and get in that scenario when you are supposed to win.
They CHOKED big time ! Again !
Cowpukes were favored by more than a FG, playing at home, nobody gave GB a chance.
8 losses in their last 10 playoff appearances, biggest chokers in recent NFL history.
at least Romo isn't to blame for this one, like most
Rodgers made one of the most difficult, across-body throws on the run, and put it in a 1-foot by 1-foot window, where only his receiver could catch it. And it was equally just as impressive a catch by the receiver...
36 yards, which was exactly what was needed with mere seconds left in the game. That situation with any remaining QB in the playoffs would equal OT and who knows what happens after that.
Hard for someone who watched the second half of this game to come away thinking the losing team choked. It's a disservice to Rodgers and that remarkable must-convert situation.
One of the best throws and catches I've seen in years!
He seems to make throws like that every week,.It's insane! Metaphor for he's awesome!
