Yes agreed in that specific video. BUT where on most American golf courses do you see that kind of situation? On midwest woodland courses, we see green, fringe, fairway which can be mowed tight or not. And damn compacted ground with iffy dodgy turf cuz power cart golfers drive to close to the green.
When you can use putter, use putter when you need to get the ball rolling chip with various irons or longer along ground possibly hybrid or fairway wood. The point is have choices and use them not just one way to play golf. What I see from rec. golfers in general is one way to play all shots. No imagination and poor choices probably because of no time practicing short game shots too much time if practice is allotted is on full swing. And too many damn wedges in bag and playing ball in air cuz PGA players do. 😊
