        True, but they are partners so the USGA might support the PGA's stance. With that being said, I'd be surprised if the USGA refused exempted players.

            azgreg Lawyers will even warn to be careful. 3 bodies in the US, PGA Tour, PGA and USGA. Only the PGATour is coming down on these dudes to date. The others, same with The Masters, can do what they want. Wasn't that long ago many were saying the PGATour should have their own rules, now they are friends???

                  SVonhof Tiger announced he is not playing the US Open as he wants to allow his body to heal up enough for The Open Championship.

                  If he waited until the 2025 Open Championship, his body won't be healed. Old Man Time is undefeated.

                    Things coud be different, for 2023 quals, after all the USGA has slots for a number of tours arouind the world. Who knows they might offer an open slot to LIV..... I think LIV has to mature before that happens if ever.
