garyt1957 "Trying to hit up" causes way more problems then it solves, mainly because people do it wrong.
Of course, we all do. That should go without saying.
You don't want LD height tees, for sure, but still, a lot of driver heads out there that look like they were used for farming, looking at the crowns. I've seen guys go under the balI and only had the tee up 2"!!
I have moved the ball/tee back to center, just a little, the last couple years. Hell, it's getting to far to stretch at this age!π
My ball flight has come down some, but is still what I 'want to see' it be. I use 2 pc. or 3 pc., urethane, or other; makes no diff in distances. Or carry, that I've noticed.
My grandson Jake is one of those that hits down(mostly). He has 10/10.5 drivers, and simply cannot hit a 9/9.5, because he's already hitting at 9, and that would make him using an even lower loft. Still smashes hell out of a ball, with a Pro apex and distance.
I've never tried to 'correct' him. π€£
