johnnydoom the negativity appeals to

It is a 1 sided affair though. People are only going to see/hear whatever the PGA is putting out. Norman better get his act together and do some advertising. Point/counterpoint.

Communism rules where it is the only thing preached/taught/allowed!

KCee Once you put a tournament the week before or after a major you lose most of the big names

Our National Open was stuck in this spot for years, or in Sept where the weather can be iffy and most of the names have packed it in (n the old days)
Tiger came his rookie year, won it, and never came back again, except to shill for Amex of course, with a kids' clinic LOL
    Growing the game my ass!

Gotta put that big Saudi backed, sports washing, PR spinnin' machine on the road and soon!

Par4QC I thought that had been on place for a few years already.

They have to play a couple/three? events they haven't played in 2 or 3 years.
      Something like that.
      That was my point earlier.
Playing where you HAVE to is ok for the PGA guys, but not ok for LIV guys this week.

Spuzz Rahm's complaint is the same old complaint about those making the numbers for next year should not block those trying to qual for next year. His buddy is at risk of not making the DP Tour exempt next year due to poor play this year. This complaint has been around for a long time.

Spuzz Tiger came his rookie year, won it, and never came back again

At least came once! The former GHO now Travelers had multiple sponsors that Tiger got paychecks from, but I doubt he thought twice about coming here. In his defense we have no Waffle Houses here and our gentleman's clubs are pretty poor, but.....well yeah it's no wonder he never showed up.

Bravopilot Rahm's complaint is the same old complaint

Would he be complaining if he had no horse in the race?
        I doubt it.
I get the argument that those that haven't been to the BMW before, are only there for points.
That's still no reason for the hostility.
PGA guys show up at events they don't normally go to for the points as well, when they need them.
I don't read about any hostility towards those guys bumping others out.
Works both ways, unless you're a PGA hypocrite.

And he's saying nothing about his has-been Captain, Luke Donald, taking up a spot.

Poulter asking Shillin' Billy why he opposite gayazz dressed him?

Typhoon why watch TGC for Golf Central or whatever it's called? I watch TGC for golf and even that they do a poor job of only showing certain groups and too much nonsense fluff pieces to fill the space. Show me golf, show me shots, guys/gals down the leaderboard too. Show me numbers, total distance, shot shape/tracer, etc. I want to know about the shot at hand and the shot that was just hit. 3d would be cool/multiple camera angles of the golfers swing. Action!

I wont watch LIV as they aren't playing for anything, it's pointless IMO!

Could just be another rumor, but I've heard next LIV tournament.....everyone gets a trophy!! For legitimacy.

Yep. Also, some cotton candy and a stuffed camel for the kids. πŸ€‘

It occurs to me that the LIV is leaning to a younger fan base with all the side activities. Most 60 plus aren't really into loud music, clowns, etc.

I like the LIV leader board. Click on player see the scores for each hole (nothing new here) and then select a hole and get a display of all the strokes for the hole each time. I find that interesting to compare a hole across each around.

Took me some time to get used to the leader board but I expect that is
an American issue, those who follow formula 1 racing certainly are used to it.

I'm still seeing this LIV as a global tour, where many countries will have an interest in it.

I saw defending champion Billy Horschel being interviewed and he said he wanted Poulter to hear it from him what he had said about the LIV players. He said they both respected each other’s views.

Also saw DP Tour head Keith Pelley and he said they had a meeting that only lasted 27 minutes where some thought it would last a few hours. Four questions were asked and three of them came from Ian Poulter. The other was from Sergio.

And I saw Rory’s press conference and he was asked if any LIV player wanted to come back should they be allowed. He said they could go thru Q School. Lol

Also joked that the LIV players could tire on Sunday not being used to playing 72 holes. Lol. The link above has more on the riff between former friends that LIV has caused.
