Just guessing, but if I were a top professional golfer, I would probably wish to have the freedom to play when and where I wanted. I would also think tournaments, their sponsors, fans, and TV broadcasts would wish for as many top tier golfers to be able to appear too. The same would ( or should) probably be true for any organization trying to rank the best players. Actually, I’m failing to see how banning /excluding any of the top players from a tournament - helps anyone aside from acting as hammer for the PGA? Maybe tournaments need to become independent from the PGA as much as the LIV players do?
