Super League Predictions
PA-PLAYA Let's not pretend the PGA Tour pros are getting dicked in the ass. Because they are not.
Depends on your point of view, and that view is mostly from the outside looking in.
Most of the derogatory comments are not coming from the LIV guys.
It's the PGA guys sounding like an ex girlfriend that whines "how could you leave me after all I've done for you?"
The usual answer to that is " I left because of what you didn't do for me"
How about Stenson reneged on his verbal commitment to being the Ryder Cup Captain. Better? Still shows a lack of character / integrity imo.

Sneakylong And how was that? He was Captain until they terminated him. He did nothing until after that was done, and had fully intended to fulfill his obligations, even if joining LIV.
I don't think you are reading/seeing anything except what you want to read/see. Quit being so political. If you cannot be, then don't post it here. We are all reading/seeing EVERYTHING. From both sides.....and yes, there are 2 of them. So far.
You could never be 'like Steve'. A Mediator.
I see the PGA's point. I see the LIV player's points. And whether people like you want to believe it or not, there is a successful middle ground that would benefit both sides.
I also see the hate coming from the Political people. BTW.

He insinuated he had signed a contract. He specifically said the captain is the only one who signs a contract.
Either way, whether he signed or not he’s not in compliance with the terms to be captain. Thus he got the boot.
This is cut and dry. Too political for ya? How about you have your opinion and don’t tell me what my opinion should be.
I don’t see both sides to this at all. In case you can’t tell. And just a hint. The Saudi’s financing LIV is political.
I think my Dad’s sage advice applies. Never judge a man till you have walked a mile in their shoes.
These guys are playing another tour. Nothing more, nothing less. Trust the story and see how it plays out.
Sneakylong He insinuated he had signed a contract. He specifically said the captain is the only one who signs a contract.
My reference is to a LIV contract. He was signed to the RC contract, and had been doing the job already.
It was nothing more than the PGA firing the European RC captain; plain and simple. Monahan=Trump on 1/6=Pied Piper.
Simple connections. Simple(ton) politics.

The PGA who fired Stenson? The PGA Tour (Monahan) has nothing to do with the Ryder Cup. It’s the PGA of America that runs the U.S. Ryder Cup.
The European Ryder Cup is run by the different European golf entities listed in the link I provided. It makes perfect sense that both Ryder Cup powers that be would not want anything to do with LIV.
LIV is the antithesis of everything the Ryder Cup stands for.
Sneakylong No it’s not. Stop labeling and virtue shaming.
Next thing you we be quoting Truth, Justice and the American way.

Click on the link I provided in response to it being political. The PGA Tour is lobbying Congress and the Whitehouse. That’s political. One of the reasons LIV is so controversial is because of the Saudi’s record on human rights. That’s political.
Now, some will put their heads in the sand and deny the obvious. But this issue goes beyond sports and became political from the get go.
Lobbying in Washington = Political
Human Rights = Political
So it goes way beyond some players just playing on another Tour. But if that’s the way you look at it fine. But don’t tell me the sky is green.
The Ryder Cup was never about money. LIV is about nothing but money.
And isn’t it virtue signaling? Never heard of virtue shaming.

“A reported $40 million is worth more than his legacy and the prestige of being Captain for the one event where money is never the concern.”

“ this is the toughest one to swallow because Stenson effectively admitted that the money – a reported $40 million up front – is worth more than his legacy and the prestige of being captain for the one event where money is never the concern.”
Don’t know how it would be tough to swallow. $40 million is worth way more than any association anyone could have with the Ryder Cup.
The issues are way more interesting than watching either of the tours.......

Not sure they all feel that way. Money comes and goes, but legacies last forever.
Nobody remembers how much money athletes made in the long run. It’s all relative to the time they lived in. But they know how many championships etc. they won.
PGA Tour players are remembered for Majors primarily, tournaments won and Ryder Cup records are talked about as well.
If you read the article Stenson was a victim of a ponzi scheme by his sponsor Stanford Financial back in 2009. So he may have been an easy target.

Maybe they need to designate more Majors. Because those have been outstanding to watch.
I was kidding. There has been some compelling viewing in majors this year. I actually kind of enjoyed watching the most recent LIV event.
Yeah, that’s what I meant. The Majors have been compelling viewing.
