garyt1957 I don't think it stand on it's own merits and actually be profitable.

Agree. And if you define 'profitable' other than money, definitely not.

Eguller Should have started with luring players away from the WNBA, instead of PGA?
IOW, started something different, not golf. Not men's golf, anyway.

Don't know what happened, Brandell fell asleep, wires got tangled, or what, but saw an interview earlier with Bryson. On TGC, 'Live at the Open' telecast. 😲
I think it was from today, not last year. πŸ˜‰

Spuzz But Friday, they will be the featured groups, being out late afternoon. Unless they cut the broadcasts.

garyt1957 You could make an argument that Bryson is a top player, at least before the wrist injury. So if the wrist heals up, he could be back to form.

Koepka, similarly, has been off his game for a while, but it may have also been injury related. He is still competitive, and, if anything, was better this year than last, so moving, perhaps, in the right direction.

The other guy I'll make an argument for is Abraham Ancer. At his best he is competitive on any tour, and often does well, for example, in the majors.

rsvman2 Definiteley agree on Bryson and Koepka when healthy. Bryson had a good first round.

This might be buried in this thread but what is Greg Norman's financial stake in the LIV? Did he get millions up front or is he an investor or combination thereof?

Rickochet I would guess he gets a healthy 8 figure check as CEO, but he might work for free if it means screwing with the Tour lol.

If I had to guess ...
Norman may be many things - but a poor businessman does not appear to be one of them. I can't believe he would risk any significant part of his considerable amassed fortune ($420 mil?) here - when he likely didn't have to. Either that or he has his portion setup to be taken as a tax write-off if/when it fails.

darpar I give this charade 2 years max!

With only one sponsor, I too, wonder how long the Saudi's will keep shelling out the $.

To top it all off, Norman is bragging that he is putting together a womens' LIV and is seriously talking to a well know player.

The Audacity. He should be careful her name isn't Bobbit. 😲🀣

Rumor mill is heating up since British Open has concluded...Latest names rumored include: Cam Smith, Henrik Stensen, Tommy Fleetwood, Hideki Matsuyama and Jason Kokrak...I guess the July weather isn't the only thing heating up...

ode Isn't Stenson RC Captains in ItalyπŸ€” I dunno if that is gonna work!

It's being suggested that if Stenson does make the switch, he won't be Ryder Cup captain for much longer...

I'm guessing Stenson might swap RC captain role for a dumpster full of cash?

MartinD couldn't imagine it playing out any different given the DP World Tours response. Molinari might be on the fast track!
