  • Phil Mickelson winner in inaugural PIP bonus, Tiger 2nd? (Not official)

raggmann54 I'm sure he pays some guy to handle his Social Media presence...Maybe I'll apply for that job - probably pays $250K....

I don't know, a lot of Phil's stuff is actual video of Phil, not quotes. I really think Phil enjoys it

mikeintopeka he could simply play for two rounds and have a missed cut

I doubt that he is capable of walking 18 holes yet. He was limping after the first round two weeks using a cart.

I expect Bryson and Brooks to be up there.

So Lefty wins $8M for tweeting his FIGJAM crap and yapping his snarky commentary on "The Match"? Dude is brilliant. 🀣

It is. Appears like this is the Tour's attempt to dissuade players from jumping to the LIV Tour.🀩

And, boost awareness of the Tour and it's 'stock'. πŸ˜‰

garyt1957 They'd both lose, I'd like to be their bookies

I'd take the vig on Phil's bets.

I wonder if that is his NET gambling number or just the losses. He very well could have $50M in winnings to offset. Maybe the $40M is what was reported to the IRS.

The way it's written it's net losses. You can't write off losses if you have wins that outpace that. At least not legally. The IRS will make you pay taxes on any big wins even if you end up a loser at the end of the year if you can't itemize. Bastards
