I replaced the DG wedge shaft in my Callaway MD2 58d with the same shaft that’s in my irons. UST iRN graphite, 71 grams I think. It’s a high flying, high spin shaft for me. I changed it just to have the same feel, not to get more spin. But man, it spins a lot more on partial shots. I am amazed. Ive seen spinner wedge shafts etc but never gave them much thought.
I am using a premium ball though. Don’t know how much extra spin there’d be with a Noodle or something like that.
