Some years we can BBQ, others not. Last year we could, this year 2 feet of snow already.

No BBQ this year but Prime Rib and lobster tails on the menu for Chritmas Eve

When I buy a whole usually have them steamed by the store., but it's easy to steam them at home, large pot with inch of water, pinch of salt and some vinegar ....cover and steam for 15 or so minutes .

Usually just get the tails and steam , broil or BBQ (Jimeng and I BBQ'd a bunch when he was here) them . Really easy,lots of instructions and ways to season them online. I like to use garlic, paprika and butter or olive oil

We don't grill at Christmas, but we have grilled on NYE. Once in below zero (Fahrenheit) temps.

We always have lobster on Christmas Eve. I would be surprised if my wife decides to grill them.

I was contemplating making one of my infamous meatloaves and cooking it in the rotisserie basket on the grill. Infamous meatloaf you ask? Onion relish, sweet red pepper relish, and instead of breadcrumbs, croutons. Throw in the smoke from the charcoal, and you have a pretty outstanding meatloaf.

Christmas day is seafood here for us , with baked whole flounders stuffed with seasoned blue crab meat. Fried crab claws appetizers . Pecan pie desert served with lots of football

Christmas Eve is the "big time" here. We'll be having pork roast, taters, chicken wing dip, hanky pankies, meatballs, cookies, bon bons, pumpkin roll and who knows what else. Never had seafood Christmas. Love lobster, but can count on 1 hand how many times I've had it in my life.

OH! Beer and moonshine as well!! The adult chicks drink wine.....YUCK!!

We always cook a standing rib roast on the grill. I pack in some salt and pepper and stand it water in a black iron skillet and set the grill on 350 and cook it to medium rare. SWMBO makes crabmeat casserole and pies and the kids bring the side dishes. Can't wait!

Wife was done with all the cookies and might bake some more Biscotti.
Going to pick up the chicken and the Lamb ( or pork ) later.
Not sure what she'll do with them, but I have the list for shopping.

Ground beef, spicey sausage and cheese all cooked together then put on rye squares and baked til they're a little crispy. Hella good!!

STEAK and maybe something BBQ'd. Supposed to be 59 and possible T-Storms in Tulsa area where I live. Ham and Turkey are for Easter and T-Giving, Christmas is old school (England) Goose, I believe. I'm not eating a Goose, sorry.

Christmas eve we go out to eat. Christmas day was always Spiral Ham...which is nice but just too much cooking in the kitchen. Nothing like marinating some tips and chicken Thighs. Throw on a few burgers, dogs and steam up some veggies.

Nothing like being outside... shorts, sweatshirt, Santa hat and something on the rocks, heavy metal blasting outside and a roaring fire in the pit. I'll have to post some pics.
