Here’s a twist… I had this course I loved playing growing up. Nice layout, great mix of holes with doglegs, tight holes, open holes, elevation changes…. Then the owners children took over the course and made it a joke.
The course had undulating greens, some severe but that was fine. When the kids took over not only did the greens fee go up astronomically, but they started shaving the greens. Half the greens were what I would call unplayable. Above the hole you end up off the green, putt up to the hole, it rolls back past you and off the green. Back when the course was designed, the greens were not built to have the grass cut that short.
People go there and almost brag that they 5 putted greens and picked up…. And they go back the next week and do the same thing.
So there’s a little twist, would you play a course you liked that was now set up stupidly?
