Anyone starting to see cold weather billings from their natural gas providers?
I'm expanding 'Gas prices revisited' to include natural gas for home heating. I paid my December bill yesterday and the gas company summary compares prior year's units consumed with the current billing. I need to pull last year's bill to see what the cost of a unit was compared to current charges.
In a nutshell, my consumption was 8% LESS this year but the total bill was +27% year-over-year! Late November through December's cut-off was warmer this year than last but we saw closer to normal weather pattern through this year's holiday season (although we have a few days coming up with warmer than average temps with a round or two of golf in the mix). My January bill should be a doozy.
