sdandrea1 I am not an advocate of purposely going after a player with intent of injury. That's just bad sportsmanship.

What if that's the only way to do the job right to stop the advancing ?
Going after an advanced football player half heartily will not ensure to get the job done.

If you watch the replay on that incident, with the speed they're going at each other there is very little room for mercy and very little time to take another option if there is one.

Wilson got waxed pretty good several times , do we throw the other player out of the game or wish them break their knees ? Com'on.

You Sir, are full of it since you started the name calling !
Do what you want and good luck with your life... don't get shot on the roadway cause you're leading to that way, with your attitude and throwing your frustration around.

It was the A10/Atlantic 10 which Xavier moved to after they left the MCC.

        Release

Other than Sherman, who did I call a name? LOL... You crack me up! Now if you want me to call you a name so you can feel better - just ask. I doubt that I will, but it's always worth a shot to ask. LOL

Hey, bro - relax. We're just talking shit here. I don't like Sherman, I think he's a dirty player and no - I wouldn't lose sleep if he lost his kneecaps.

People are obviously entitled to disagree... but I think Sherman is the classic example WHY the NFL has a concussion protocol, and he not only doesn't have a problem with that - he wears it like a badge of honor.

He seeks out those season-ending hits, the targeting, the sensationalism. That's who Richard Sherman is. And the more I see of him - the more I wish someone would ring his fucking bell and send him to nighty night.

He coaches my team and I can't wait until he's outta there.

We had a shot at Billy Donovan, Donovan would've taken the job. He would've been a great fit at UK and would've run the program the right way.

One-and-done isn't just mutually exclusive to Calipari and UK, but he basically perfected the concept. And Division 1 college hoops hasn't benefitted from it whatsoever.

        But that's another story....

LBlack14 might be on a crash course again with Wisconsin....what a game a year ago, although you guys were on the wrong end of that Koenig 3 at the buzzer, we got our hearts ripped out by Notre Dame in the sweet 16, ugh, still hurts a little.

There is no tournament like March Madness. It is, by far, the best tournament of the year in any sport.

The excitement and drama just continues to deliver year after year after year.

PA-PLAYA agree, 1 and done is all over, even at respected places like Duke, who I hate with a passion, but KY is the worst offender, but they just keep coming. There is a place for developing talent over 4 years, Wisconsin has been doing it and been stellar in the dance the last 3 years, with no MacD all americans.....nothing pleased me more when they bounced KY from the tournament 2 yrs ago. Still a lot of good teams that can make a run.....that is the great thing about March madness,,,,there will always be guys like Calipari, but way more like Bo Ryan and Greg Gard, etc. doing it right.

You know what I miss? I miss the rivalries. I miss the days when Jerry Stackhouse (UNC) had a 3-time-per-year run-in with Grant Hill (Duke) for at least 3 seasons. With one-and-done, there are no rivalries anymore. I like my Cats, but I'm a college basketball fan. I respect the history and the rivalries. These days - there are no rivalries. The Indiana vs Kentucky game used to be a HUGE deal. Not any longer. The Louisville vs Kentucky game used to be a HUGE deal, but not any longer.

One-and-done has diluted college basketball to the point where there's very little history anymore. It's still exciting as hell for March Madness, don't get me wrong, but you definitely don't get the interesting storylines of two players who've gone at it head-to-head as rivals for 3-4 years. I miss that about college basketball. Those rivalries, those players who saw each other 3x per season for 3 or 4 seasons. You knew it was gonna be something special their last couple years of college.

As Archie Bunker sang, Those Were the Days....

PA-PLAYA very good point, the long standing rivalries have suffered....those household names no longer stick around....it goes from the greatest tourney on the planet to who's going pro....can't blame the kids for going for the money, but it didn't happen at the rate it did years ago, Stackhouse and hill would not have given much serious consideration to go pro, as they wouldn't have played or they would have been left in the dust as 19 and 20 yr olds....nba brand has suffered in a big way too, almost unwatchable IMO.

              Xavier vs. Cincinnati

I would like to see Sherman go after Steve Smith Sr. of the Ravens. I will take my namesake any day of the week and twice on Sunday in that one. To quote Pa-Playa: Smith Sr. is a BMF and takes it from nobody.

This has gone on for as long as there has been team sports.

You need to send a message...

Hit my kicker and I would drop you at the first opportunity. Remember... Play to the whistle.

I'm sure they both would have been flagged, taunting on Harris and Unsportsmanlike on Lambert....in today's NFL.....I bet there was no flag in that sequence back then, but ??

Von Miller seems to get it. He's an above-average defensive player. If he can understand and appreciate the need to address not just the TBI's, but other violent forms of season or potential career-ending impacts, then this shouldn't be a foreign concept to people like Suh and Sherman.

Suh and Sherman do what they do because they get away with it. At some point the consequences need to be levied on the referees who see this shit happen but do nothing about it. I can guarantee you when it becomes a situation of either their (the referees) own livelihoods or the careers of the players they blow their whistles on - you'll see more flags being thrown and more suspensions levied.

Fines don't work against multi-millionaires. You take away 2-4 games for violent impacts - shit changes real quick.

                http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2016/12/14/von-miller-wants-football-players-to-consider-opponent-safety-can-they/

This isn't the 1970's NFL. These guys are faster. Impact is faster. Head-related trauma is much more significant. This goes beyond sticking your fingers through the face mask and into the eyes of an opponent... This is serious business. NFL players who have experienced multiple TBI's are taking their own lives, if not including the lives of those that care for them.

                This
                is
                serious
                business.

We cannot continue overlooking the cheap shots and dirty play, not if we are seriously interested in preserving the game. At some point there needs to be consequences. And if those consequences aren't going to be levied by the commissioner or his umpires - they need to be levied by those who have an invested interests in the game at the team level.

NFL - clean up your act. Address the late hits, the personal fouls, the egregious non-play hits on defenseless, unsuspecting players.

Otherwise, I think Von Miller has every right, every incentive, to go for knee caps. Hey, it might end a career... but it's not a TBI.

NFL - you don't want to deal with this - do your fucking jobs and hold these guys accountable. Otherwise, you deserve every fucking lawsuit that comes your way.
