I like your mention of on being considered great and winning championships. I think Dan Marino would have loved to win a Super Bowl more than being one of the greatest throwing QB's of all time. Eli will be always remembered for his championships just like Joe Willie Namath for his Super Bowl win. Tom Brady did it many times and with two different teams. Conversations, debates and arguments of who was better than who at this or that are secondary. People do not care so much about their total stats, it matters more if you are a winner.
