Ugly but dominant win for the Patriots with the defense sacking Herbert 6 times and holding them to under 200 yards.

They’ll play the winner of tonight’s game between the Steelers and Texans.

Sneakylong it is there for them to take. I don't see a favorite with this group of teams. IMO about as average as can be for "good" teams, than I can remember playing this time of year. Gonna be interesting to see who survives!

Maye was downed 5 times.

I guess when the highlight reel is more or less empty, one needs a filler of some sorts, in discussions. 🤔

Incredible, exciting close games this past weekend. Patriots defense stymied the Chargers yesterday. Drake Maye was exposed to a great defense last night and continues to gain experience. He will learn to not try to do too much when there is nothing there, as he does at times, resulting in turnovers.

San Fran is moving forward in the playoffs BUT they are one short-handed team (even though the inept Eagles couldn't exploit that).
I think I'm putting my money on the Seahawks.

In terms of this season, you're correct it doesn't matter. But in looking forward (which is obviously my interest) my concern is how they're going to manage the salary cap with a bunch of young and exceptional bucks on the defense due to get paid. Maybe AJ will be on the trading block for a team looking for a #1 receiver.

Yeah, you see when one team scores 16 and the other team scores 3 then the defense of the winning team gets highlighted. Kind of the way it works.

Tom Brady threw for more than 500 yards in a losing effort in a Super Bowl. Nobody cares because they lost.

Same as it doesn’t matter if Maye was sacked 5 times because they won. The final score is all that matters.

The Patriots / Chargers game was the least entertaining of the playoff games. But they were the only team to win by more than one score.

But more importantly. Still think Calib is the worst QB in the league? lol. Still refuse to get on the train? 🚂

Works for me!🤣🤣🤣. I'm actually a Washington/Denver/Tampa Bay, fan, all based on places I've lived.

sdandrea1 Washington, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, and New Orleans here.

Grew up in the Rockies cheering for the Broncos. Went to med school in New Orleans. Did my residency in Washington state. Moved to central California. Eventually, ended up in Virginia where Commanders' games are on every week.

That explains my teams. And my most hated teams, which are: Cowboys, Eagles, Falcons.

It's kind of fun watching. The defensive strategy against modern QBs seems to be to rush at least 6 on most plays to stop the QB from running and to force them into panic throws. It results in a lot of chaos in the backfield, a bunch of boring underneath stuff, and the occasional fabulous throw downfield under duress. Not really great football in other ways since no one has adapted a strategy to consistently beat it, but the seeming randomness of it all (assuming no corrupting influences) makes it unpredictable. Entertaining for bystanders and probably mostly frustrating for diehard fans of a singular team.

Hardly the worst, but nowhere near upper tier at this point. He made some great plays, but he also is charged with the only two turnovers in the game and completed only 50% of his attempts. And he didn't block either of the Packers missed field goals or the missed extra point. He did at least overcome himself.

Bottom rung.
I might think differently if he could see over the line, instead of bashing hands & helmets with throws(most in league) and had a much better completion % when he is able to.

He's a Bears QB. I've seen(imo) some good ones there. Ask me about Caleb in another 2 years.😉

That’s a talent in itself. Don’t play all that great in the first 3 quarters, but put on Superman’s cape in the 4 quarter and win the game. No way the Packers should’ve lost that game. Calib has a special talent to win games at the end.

Now if he can just get better at the mundane QB play. lol Or like I mentioned before maybe he’ll always be an off schedule QB. He seems to love the drama.

Maybe it's the comprehension of sentences you have failings with🤔.

So, I'll repeat....'same place as yours'. Yet, that is just not true. Mine is not in PA. Then yet again, most of yours probably are not today either. 'Same place' covers a lot of ground for where NFL players may be after getting their asses beat.
