professor As long as each particular "team" of officials call a particular game equally, for both sides - whether ticky-tack or allowing the hand-fighting and such - consistently through the game, that's the best I'd hope for.
The way it should be.
What I don't like seeing, and did this weekend, is when there is an obvious infraction, an official is less than 3 yards away looking right at the play/players involved, and throws no flag. BUT.....here comes a flag from 10 yds. BEHIND the players. And it was a correct call, with penalty.
This happens quite often, and much too often.
