No apologies needed. That stated, I realize you cannot see it in the photo but the contact clearly occurs to the back of the defender before it occurs from the front.
This is a penalty and should have been called. If this were away from the ball it could be let go by the officials.
Given this occurs just in front of the ball carrier with the defender in the proper position to make a play, this cannot / should not be let go.
Again, seldom am I one to blame refs and the Bengals overcame most of what occurred. That stated, the abundance of the events that occurred in the 4th quarter is not excusable.
Sadly, I cannot make this more clear in the photo. #47 is engaged with the back of the Bengal defender a full step / nearly a yard BEFORE #85 makes contact from the front. The contact from ther back by #47 is not a result of #85 blocking the defender into him.
