ode that's the thing, it was so obvious he was going out of bounds. He just wanted to get a hit in, so stupid.

I don't know, but I think they just decided that they hit the wall and did give up. Might not be what I would have done, but it really may have been the best decision to just run as much clock as you can and get the game over at that point. Realistically they were done with the turnover and going down by two touchdowns before the half. If they could have kept it to one touchdown, and then could have kept their last remaining quarterback in the game they had a chance as good as their defense is. Brutal way to end the season getting blown out in a game where they only gave up 270 yards.

johnnydoom. Maybe, but I could never give up. You have to at least try something at that point. Even just having MCaffrey as QB gives you an extra running threat

Only got to see the last two plays of the AFC championship. Hate to see a penalty influence a last second score like that, but it was a penalty. I can't really blame the defensive guy given the situation and the need to make a decision to commit before he gets to field goal range. Looks like two tough teams had a great battle.

garyt1957 After seeing how many QB’s were out this year it’s getting to the point where you need 5 QB’s on the roster. Everytime one of the QBs heads hits the turf the NFL makes them leave the game.

27-yard Putt return.

Block in the back occurs near the football on a tackler in position to make the play. This absolutely should have been called negating the huge putt return.

Cwing From what I see in this bottom pic (with stop action) is that the player hit from behind might have been blocked into #47. And perhaps the way the refs saw it in live action.

I finally found something I don’t like about YouTube Tv. I can’t figure out to stop, fast forward and slow mo the replay. It moves forward / back in 15 second blocks so it’s hard to grab take photos to catch the action.

That stated, YouTube to the rescue. See some of what I’m bringing fourth here….

It shows the non call on the putt return, the two holds on the Mahomes scramble/Ossai out of bounds hit, the non roughing call on Burrow and Perine in the area on the grounding call.

Yeah, if I were a Bengals fan I'd be upset at the refereeing. Some of the calls were somewhat ticky tac and didn't need to be called. Some of calls that went against Cinicinnati were calls that really hurt them. Too bad the game ended on a penalty. Hell of a game.

Cwing 😄excuse me for laughing, but I know you are a Bengals fan...nothing wrong with that. I loved watching JB in college games and like watching him now, knowing he would be this good.

That said.....#47 did not do the man dirty. Look where the defender's arms are....trying to stop.(@2:04) It is as I thought from the stop action scene posted....a legal block from the front made it appear he was hit from behind. Ref would have a hell of a time calling that, and it would be contested if called.

As far as the QB late hit....Joe got to remember he's not in the NBA!
