Sneakylong Yes huge Niners fan! I would've loved to have Brady in SF. And maybe Rodgers before this season, but I feel like he's fallen off the deep end.

Trey will be ready for next season. Sure there will be growing pains but Jimmy makes several egregious mistakes every game so us Niners fans would be happy with just a few less mistakes from Trey with way higher upside as a playmaker.

Here in Chicago when Lovie was the bears hc, we bitched and moaned about him constantly. As it turned out, he was the best hc here since Ditka.

Another Fun Fact: It’s been 23 years since a QB was the MVP of the NFL and won the Super Bowl in the same year (Kurt Warner 1999). That streak will probably continue.

The consensus seems to be that Aaron Rodgers will win the MVP this year. Good argument for Brady as well. Joe Burrow wouldn’t be a bad choice either.

My vote for mvp would be Cooper Kupp. His stats this year are unreal. Realize he probably won't.

Cupp is deserving. I’d go with Brady, but I’m bias.😉Burrow has a good argument as he’s taken his team the farthest from where they’ve been like forever.

Bottom line to me is if Kupp does not win this year then WR position won't win it. Let's face it ... It's part stats and part popularity contest, meets part who the key media people are puting out there for names. Rodgers does not deserve MVP over Kupp or Brady, although I'd argue as I did above that he and Brady are neck and neck, that's a tough call, but IMO that should lead way to Kupp winning it. I mean is Matthew Stafford even in the discussion? Kupp's year is pretty much once in a lifetime stuff and should be rewarded. His year exceeds all the other candidates and IMO there is a clear separation!

ode Stafford shouldn't get within sniffing distance of the MVP. He was a major reason the rams lost home field advantage down the stretch. He redeemed himself in the playoffs, with a little luck in the 49er game.

Sneakylong he should win because threw for more yards and TD's. Those metrics are interesting but are not convincing to me, but I understand why it's written, which is to poke holes in Rodgers QBR and TD/Int ratio. IMO those two stats are hard to overcome. Are the voters really going to factor in that Brady's 3 or is it 4🤔 INT's were not his fault....and therefore his QBR would have been closer to Rodgers👎

I've always wished interceptions were counted like errors in baseball ... where fault was assigned, at least for the obvious ones. Or maybe keep two sets of stats? Throwing a ball up for grabs, from midfield, into the end zone at the end of halves shouldn't count either (nor should they for touchdowns if/when they ever work, 😂).

Stu1961 problem is, one can start going down the line of excuses, bad O line, guys running the wrong route, etc, etc. Rodgers tends to force very few balls and that is one of many reasons why is TD/Int, QBR are so good! Lots of homers complain about him holding the ball to long!

Definitely on balls that bounce right off a receivers hands to the other team. Tipped balls at the line could still be considered the fault of the QB. Also agree about Hail mary's at the end of a half, but really those don't happen enough to really effect the stats,imo

I just have to root for a good game. I typically root for the underdog, but I think as an individual Stafford's paid his dues and as a Pitt alum, I'm also a big fan of Aaron Donald. (It's been quite a while since the commercials were all that entertaining.)

garyt1957 that was precisely my point for posing that question. Kupp had Stafford throwing to him....it should only bolster his claim for winning the award. Let's face it, it is a QB award. Kupp received one vote for MVP🤔
