rsvman2. Yea I always laugh when people would say Alabama would beat the Lions or somebody. Even a loaded college team only has maybe 10 guys who will make the NFL.

Eguller. Same here. I still like the NFL but my Sundays don't revolve around it. I'll watch it if I'm home. Most times I only watch cause I go hang out with my Dad.
I hadn't watched basketball for years other than March Madness but actually watch a little NBA now that I started playing again. Never liked hockey and baseball is boring as is golf.
Older I get the less I watch

I never said anything about an NFL team playing a college team 🤷‍♂️…. That’d be dumb.

I like seeing completed passes, runs with positive yardage and quarterbacks that don’t look totally lost. I watch NFL games but this year I’m really tired of the mediocre to poor records of most of the teams facing each other.

The college games have a better pace, bang bang offense and play like there is something at stake.

Typhoon I like college too. I especially like something like Army/ Navy where they're playing for love of the game, knowing they're not going pro.
What I don't like is the uneven talent of teams like Alabama and the majority of other teams. Many times acquired illegally

I can remember when there was a college all star game every year that featured a team of college all stars about to go to the NFL playing against the current NFL champion. Every once in a while the college kids (graduates) beat the NFL champions. They ended that series because it got difficult to get insurance for all the participants and the NFL didn't like their draft choices getting hurt before they could be signed and play for the NFL teams if I remember correctly.

I just want consistency when it comes to referee control of a game. Be consistent when it comes to both teams and both sides offense and defense.

colej I don't think they're that bad considering it often takes slow mo replays from 5 different angles to prove them wrong. It's a tough job.

When it comes to touchdowns and first downs I’ll agree. I’m talking about every play in the trenches or receivers in the open field. If you’re gonna call one team consistently, let’s call the other team as well. I don’t like to see the game come down to a critical play and now they’re gonna throw a flag for holding when clearly it’s been going on all game long. >!!<

Yea that's always going to be a problem because they could call holding on every play. The league would not like that. Maybe they should as it might clean things up.
On a much lower level I was just talking to a guy who refs basketball. He was saying how tough it is when they ref some lower level games as they try to let some things go or everything would be a foul or violation. The really hard part is doing that without favoring one team over the other.

I hope GB sits Rodgers and plays Love. Not sure if the injury will lead to it anyway, but I think he needs to sit.....and that run D......wtf happened. I get the O has left the D on the field for most the year and they are up against it, but sheesh they are a sieve!

propman I won't feel bad if the Packers win. I'm all in for the tanking at this point. And this might be the most likely possible win, but still unlikely, remaining on the Bears schedule. They won't beat the Eagles, Bills, Vikings, and probably not the Lions. Maybe the Vikings will be resting guys though, it's the final game.

The backup QB (Love) is an unknown at this point, right? If Rogers is benched, the Pack might be a better team.

They've been OK all year, except with the Vikings. They are just not going to go out and dominate any team this season. This is 2022 NFL football, something we've not seen. So we are being surprised by some teams that usually win a lot that are losing, but are playing just about as well as in previous seasons. The same can be said also about those teams that normally lose, but now are winning; some of them have looked really good in the past, but could not pull out wins.
Crazy season for sure. Washington was expected to probably go 0-17, as were the Lions. Denver was supposed to be on top. Bucs were to be in SB again....and still might be there with a losing record; they are in 1st place with one!! Look at the Rams, shitsville, but are they?
And just who in the world would have expected The Bears to have lost 9 games so far, let alone for the season?? They got in some really great coaches.

Sneakylong Watched what I could of that game, which was the very end & OT.
I've not paid much attention in the past. in many games, but I now see what made/makes Brady so good. He "stands tall" in the pocket. Much taller than his 6'5", it seems. Can't imagine he's had many batted balls in his career. And he sees the whole field, without having to 'peek' around linemen.

Yeah, Brady is like Marino and Peyton Manning in that he’s a pure pocket passer. So despite his getting rid of the ball quickly. He needs a good offensive line.

The offense just isn’t clicking consistently though. The run game is sporadic. When Brady throws less that 40 times they have a good record. Meaning they were able to run the ball.

They had chances to put the game away yesterday, but couldn’t do it. Not using all your timeout’s at the end of the game was stupid.

They’ve lost to some bad teams this year, which may make them a bad team. Still, the winner of the NFC South could win it with an 8 and 9 record.

But as Bill Parcells used to say. Just get in the Tournament (playoffs). The Giants won the Super Bowl with a 9 and 7 record (2011) and won the Super Bowl with a 10 and 6 record (2007)as well. They beat the Patriots both times and could’ve tied the 1972 Dolphins undefeated record in the 2008 Super Bowl.
