2021 Ryder Cup
To the surprise of absolutely NO ONE, Harrington picked Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia, and Shane Lowrey, so the
teams are set. If I were Stricker, I would have concentrated on "who can sink a putt when he needs to?!!" b/c
that's where we seem to continually fail when we play the Euros in either Ryder Cups or Solheim Cups. They
make 'em....we don't. How many putts did Leona McGuire & Company make at Inverness when they needed
to last week vs. the US girls...???
Nice story on ESPN: https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/32218591/i-know-do-tales-first-tee-ryder-cup
(Some of the pictures are real throwbacks - Westwood with his Ping Zing irons...)
Best 3 days in golf, GO USA!
Listening to Chamblee talk about how the US has no chance to lose, LOL. Euros gonna put up a fight.
This is gonna be interesting as I remember Jason Day taking this course to it's knees with the tee ball when he won the PGA. Alt shot and Better ball gonna be interesting to see how the strategy changes for the teams as once you get off the beaten path at The Straits you are likely to be in an awful lie!
Go
Strick shedding a tear when he introduced his daughters was pretty cool. Expected. But cool.
It's hard to believe this will be the first time in this competition since 1995 that Phil or Tiger will not be playing. 25 years! - where does the time go? And this SI article says their absences won't be a problem for the US.

Not a big fan of foursomes. Rather see players play entire hole
Awesome venue for match play!
WOW Patrick and Xander are steamrolling Rory and Poulter...5 up thru 5 hole.
Rahm/Garcia +3 vs Thomas/Spieth.
Rahm has made over 100' of putts so far. I think the perceived PGA POY snub is a burr in his saddle and his going to kick some butt this week.
