Got my Mavrik Max from CPO today. I guess I'm not one of the lucky ones who get a club that is in better condition than the rating. I bought the "average" rating and it's right at that or a bit below. Came with a nice skymark (which I was able to buff out) and some face marks that look to be from sandy range balls. Also had two or 3 chips around the head. Luckily I'm not too discerning when it comes to stuff like that so if it works who cares. Might make resale harder if I don't like it though.

garyt1957 I traded my Mavrik SZ with a fella that had a Mavrik(plus got a lot of cash). The head is in similar condition as you describe, which repulses me normally. But I did want to try the last of the 3 heads, so I did the trade. It played like a champ, even with the skymark/crown rubs on it; never even noticed them when playing.
It won't go for much on resale, as you say, but it will be cheap enough someone will also want it for a trial.

If you aren't satisfied it send it back. I have found CPO customer service to be very good.

Rickochet Not worth the trouble. I'll hopefully get out with it a couple times and if I don't like it I guess I can send it back for a refund. If it works for me I don't care that much about looks.

Getting to be that time of year again with Callaway preowned deals. Last year I got sick of the emails and stopped them. Now for some insane reason I signed back up for them. 2 emails already today.

I got 3 today… that’s fine!! At least in my mind I can plan a bag change over. I’m thinking of going to the Callaway Epic Max LS driver, Jaws wedges or pm grind, and get fit for TM p790’s.

Will it happen??? Doubtful but I like to dream about it. If I get a job for the winter and take advantage of the Callaway extra trade in money then maybe.

Any experience with callaway preowned on eBay? I ordered a mavrik max a week ago from them and it doesn’t say shipped yet. I’ve sent two messages to them with no response. I ordered a used standard mavrik from a local golf shop for $169 and they didn’t have it in stock even though the website said it did.He offered me a max with the tensei blue shaft I got it the next day. So if I don’t hear back in the next few days or see the club should I get eBay involved? I really don’t need two max drivers anyways. I don’t remember poor service from these guys in the past

Did it ship usps? Their tracking is horrendous. It could show up at your house tomorrow and not show up on tracking at all.

colej nope it doesn’t even say shipped just paid. I realize it could be shipped and not have been uploaded into system but likely not. No responses to my questions either. Something going on over there🤔. They may just have a real turd in charge of the eBay side. Disappointing anyhow you look at it. The question is how long do you stay patient with them? I’ve bought from them before directly and eBay always a good experience. That’s why this issue puzzles me.

colej I forgot to mention they did leave positive feedback immediately but that could be automatic by computer when a purchase happens.
