garyt1957 I traded my Mavrik SZ with a fella that had a Mavrik(plus got a lot of cash). The head is in similar condition as you describe, which repulses me normally. But I did want to try the last of the 3 heads, so I did the trade. It played like a champ, even with the skymark/crown rubs on it; never even noticed them when playing.
It won't go for much on resale, as you say, but it will be cheap enough someone will also want it for a trial.
