ACK! Mine just went kaput. Got a good 15 years use out of it. Any recommendations? Any other sellers besides Golfworks and Golfmechanix?

Is it stripped out? You buy a heli-coil thread repair kit for it.

There are two screws that screw down the clamp plate onto the main block. As I screwed in one of the screws, I heard a "clang". Undid the screw, and a lot of metal came out. The screw is fine, so I can only assume the internal threads gave way. Screw will not screw in at all any more.

Thanks, but not looking to fix it. It served me well for a long time, time for a new one.

Sparky Sounds like it could easily be fixed with a heli-coil thread insert.

Wondering how many cracked shafts/broken tips, have been caused by that clamping system?

Posted this before. I only occasionally pull a shaft and this is what I use. Large acme threads on vice screw. Open vice to pull shaft. Put as much pressure as you like.

meagain No doubt it can work. But, you need access to complete hosel area; heat goes up, not down.
And, need to get rid of the socket head cap screws; be able to tighten by hand, no wrenches needed. Buyers are clueless/clumsy, sometimes, esp. newbies wanting to learn/do it themselves. I've found this out selling the clamps & spine finders. You do not want them to be able to lay blame back on the maker/seller for their screwed up shafts.

Only use it about once a year for a driver shaft. Works for me.

I just use the $70 ish golfworks one where you apply the pulling power by using a ratchet wrench on the screw. It's worked perfectly for me on dozens of shafts.
