Reached 41°F today with sunny sky, all the compact snow on the lawn from a week ago melted away.

Low land snow returning tonight and tomorrow morning, get this, cold front coming up from Portland Oregon.
Heavy snowing in the mountains, we won't have water shortage this coming Summer. Plenty of snow packed in the mountain range.

Half foot of snow overnight and now it's raining....Gotta love it.

The snow we received is all but gone thanks to rain for the last five days. Calling for rain the next couple of days and the snow should be all gone on our golf course. We went by the course yesterday and the snow if 90% gone on the fairways and rough areas. The greens are still totally covered, at least the few we could see from the car. Perhaps we can get some golf in by Friday. It will be very wet in the fairways, but at least we can get out and play.

No accumulated snow on the ground.
It was so cold over night, the rain drops were froze up after it dropped to the ground. Streets were covered by a layer of slushy like ice this morning.

Of course we still have those idiots tailgating going down grade.

Just saw this on the morning News, All vehicles required to have tire chains on the road, including SUV.

A couple of thoughts, one is the so called SUV these days are just All Wheel Drive , have no 4-LOW feature for extreme driving condition.
Secondly, when there is compact snow of 8" or more, ( which reached the bumper of some smaller SUV ) nothing will go on a sloped icy roadway.
Of course it could be operator's error ! Back in the days we learned to operate the 4x4 system on the off road course , not only to learn how to use the 4x4 but also to learn the limit of the feature, so no brave soul will attempt the impossibles.

Chains required for SUV......that's a first for our region.

Garage door was iced shut....I have a detached, single car garage with the old swing up and out style door that is thick solid wood.....Had to jam my ice chipping shovel in-between the ground and the door to have something to hold on to get at the ice, otherwise I was sliding down the driveway. Sumbitch would not let loose until brute force of kicking it from the inside...And she finally opened.

Release it was an interesting day....If it were colder it would have been all snow and well over a foot, I suspect 1.5-2 ft., But it warmed up and rained for 5+ hours, a lot of it a hard rain.....So there was a ton of slush, ice, and standing water that eventually all froze after the temps dropped.

Not quite as cold as over your place but it's below freezing here for the high temperature.

Wife ask me to take down the Christmas lights around and on top of the bush and shrub. we have those huge 4' candy cane and the pike stuck in the ground, have to wait for the big thaw out.
Wires were attached to the ground and the nets of lights were stuck to the bush and shrub.... got most of them packed away. Only was outside for about 30 minutes and felt like a Popsicle.

One of my buddy text me while on the airplane to Southern California. weather forecast is not great but much nicer than here.

Course is open and I have a morning tee time for Friday, Temps in the mid 30's with some sun, but it is better than snow or rain and high winds.

Another 1/2 foot or so of snow last night...Started sleeting to the point it was sticking to the window, had to stop twice to scrape in a 1 mi. ride home.

Been raining here all day till now, which is about 12:45. Temperatures are dropping quickly and will probably be like a skating rink by the 5 o'clock drive home. 😣

Ugh, take it easy on the ride home....I had planned to go get some groceries but opted out of that, as the conditions were not good. The sleet actually coated over the ice and gave some traction over the walkways so at least that was good!
