GLFTPS I have been waiting for a good Geocoustic driver.

It further showed they are running out of ideas within the current available resources that's feasible on both end of the product ( manufacturing and pricing ).

Even if there is no conforming restrictions, there is not a whole lot of options to push the limit of the envelop as product goes. Material for the driver head and the shafts and a huge plus to conditioning the golfer's physical ability.
If a weekend warrior wish to play like a touring pro, not only they have to have the mind set also need to copy the work out ethic like the pros. Equipment alone will assist in the dream of playing better.

Release

Those are great FW's

    U da man.

I was on my way to get below a 5 before I got married then a family, then all of a sudden getting to a scratch index was not all that important. But I was never able to reach any hole in 2 longer than 550 yards, par4, par5 or par 6 ( yes played a couple of those par 6's). Give me back 30 years and today's driver and golf balls...... I could try, yet still probably could not reach a hole close to 600 yards even with help from elevation drop.

The quest for the right 3 wood head and shaft combination continues for me.
Found a few that works well but I don;t have one goes beyond 230 on a dry day.

Get this, strip the head with aircraft stripper and buff the face with a wheel and it will be the longest 3W you will ever hit. It has a .335 hosel, The head is cast with a face insert of the Liquidmetal alloy. I have a tour issue one of these. Deeper face, but not hard to hit from the FW, I won't even tell you what I did with one of these once, because it may sound too much like bragging or you wouldn't believe me.

I need a driver (swing) that goes 230.

sdandrea1 I still have mine, and I wish I could have paid less than $25 with shipping. The head has a stainless, matte finish when stripped. The material of the face is unreal. It's repulsion rate is way higher than Ti. When these were made there was no COR testing. Also, the metal has a high frequency dampening property that gives a solid feel without the sting. Top secret flechette projectiles for the Mach 7 rail gun are made of this material. Also, this material is replacing depleted uranium rounds for the A-10/ Vulcan cannon. The professor that was a co-creator of the material was an avid golfer which is why these clubs even exist.

Interesting coincidence. My wife (now retied) was the program manager for the Navy's EM Rail gun development. The gun is still in process here at Dahlgren VA. 😊

problem is when u hit it u piss yourself and your teeth fallout.

          Have we played together?

Hey brsmith, - can the same be said for the driver, or is it just the 3 wood that is uber long?

I put a ball on the front collar of a green on a par 5 after I had driven the ball through the fairway of a dog leg left into a deep cut. We used my drive because it still was by far the best. I had a flyer lie from about 280 by the crow, but I needed to slice/fade the ball about 40 additional yards to clear a row of evergreens and send the ball straight from there. I was in a scramble that you could use 2 consecutive shots from 1 person only once per 9 holes. We took a shot because I was hitting everything long that day. I set up to cut across the ball and swung as hard as I could, but didn't move my head to look up and I picked it clean. Ball curved hard right after about 40 yards and just screamed down the center of the FW . and then started bounding on the very firm mid-September course, in Oswego, IL. The ball headed right at the flag and came to rest about 30' from the pin on the front collar. The most gratifying thing was the other 3 players said they weren't even going to try a shot.

I also won the longest drive in that scramble receiving my first ever trophy for golf. 314 yards with a 10* SMT DB 455 with a HTD CBS shaft that I bought from the swap shop on FGI and had received FedEx on Saturday 30 minutes before having to leave for the scramble.

Yes, I was lucky, but it happened and it was a large part due to the LM club. It was at least a 320 yard shot with 260+ yards of carry, again from the rough with a good lie.

It was a good day for me.

              I hit 2 drives over 380 yards with a 10* Professor Johnson 330 cc with a Grafalloy Pro- Lite 35 in X flex, 46".

The 11* head of the PJ is on the non-conforming list.

They have the LM material coated over the Ti face and not a pure LM105 material like the other drivers and FW woods. The other woods have the LM105 insert, but I really never tried them as they were maybe 250cc.
