Well done @azgreg. I nominate you for the official Buzzard major thread starter. You've done some nice work this week with the links and info.
And well done Hideki! He did the lion's share of the work yesterday, giving him enough wiggle room today to get it home without carrying too much stress. It got kinda interesting there when Xander got to within 2 shots, but the 16th hole essentially sealed his fate unfortunately. I appreciated his attitude in the post interview, his time is coming me thinks.
Lastly, I hope to see more of Zalatoris... very much enjoyed this kid's performance this week and too - his competitive spirit. Seems to have the perfect temperament for the game at this level. I've not seen a first timer in my lifetime show as much poise and confidence in a major, let alone on Sunday in contention.
I kept thinking that perhaps he would break out an Owen Wilson line from the Wedding Crashers while he was in Butler Cabin. "You know, Jim, on second thought - I think I would like some meatloaf." lol
Fun week!
I used to pick Hideki in the majors contests sometimes because I always thought he had the tee-to-green game to compete with the best. I finally gave up on him and decided that his putting just couldn't hold up on major championship level greens. Glad he didn't give up on himself! It was a great win for the man from Japan.
