I went 48 a few years back. Smooth swing, lower loft had decent success. Days I didn't have the swing for it, I'd bail early and go three wood rest of the round.
Eventually too many scrambles trying to kill it took the mojo away, have it to a friend. I think it was an SMT 02 head and a proforce 65 I put it together with.
