sdandrea1 After 18 holes I'd move the Honma XP-1 into OMG Holy Grail status.
It's a striper.

Bullshit!
This is just your own way of self-subliminal thinking, in order to build up the $$ stash that will buy the next Holy Grail.
It is futile. You tried it, it was great, sell it now!! Move along....'while we're young'. Dammit.
😉

    Par4QC Bullshit!

It's a fucking review thread! I'm just posting my opinion! JAYSUS! I didn't claim it was the last driver I'll ever buy. Loosen your panties!

    Cobra looks legit. 😉

      How much? 😉

I've been demoing a Callaway Big Bertha B21 3w for a few weeks. This club has more offset than I've ever seen in a Callaway. I'm not much for 3 woods since I struggle to launch them off off tight turf, but I gave this a try on our long par 3s. It launches well for me off a tee and it's pretty easy to hit straight. The stock A flex shaft feels solid. I have used it off the fairway on a few par 5s and while I can't launch it high, the low running shots roll out much further than my Perfect Club.

Typhoon Screw the 3 wood Steve. Go with a 5 wood. What you should try is go ask the proshop for the 5 wood and use the 3 wood shaft in the 5 wood head.

Check the 5 first to see if it has an adjustable hosel if that is an issue. I have the Cally BB Epic driver and 3w. I ordered a 5 from CPO but it did not have an adjustable hosel like the driver and 3 and I returned it.

I read somewhere a few years ago that most senior golfers shouldn't play with anything stronger than a 20*
fairway wood. I decided to try it, so I found a 20* Orlimar Plus (deeper face than their ridiculously shallow
original) on Ebay and reshafted it with a senior shaft. That club has been great for me....I hit it about 180,
          good trajectory, etc.

They're epoxied in John. No go. I will probably exchange it for the 5w and give it a go.

That's assuming the player needs the launch. Playing the ball along the ground here in the winter is viable strategy. However, I agree that a 3w is a wasted club in my bag. I can only effectively use it off a tee and I could use my driver instead.

That sucks Steve, I was hoping it had an adapter. See if they have some fw’s from another brand and try changing the shafts out

Try the Ping G425 SFT 3 Wood. It’s 16 degrees, but can be adjusted to 17.5 degrees.

Better yet. Get the G425 SFT 5 wood which is 19 degrees, but can be adjusted to 20.5 degrees.

Yeah, and I’m sure he doesn’t want to spend $300 plus on a club that may only be in the bag for a short while or until he sees the next shiny new club. Lol
