sdandrea1 Think about it, some of these wide soled huge offset irons are designed to correct a fault or 7. If you’re any good and don’t need the correction, the wide sole isn’t going to help your already good turf interaction that you are used to creating. And a huge offset is designed to help the ball go left. But if you don’t have that problem… you will now with a huge offset.

A couple time I went on trips and used rentals. I remember using Callaway x hots and Ping G series irons. I had to adjust to keep it to a tiny draw. It was very consistent… everything went left but I had to adjust for it.

If you’re finding the center of the clubface, making good contact and no direction issues, blades are fine. You might lose a little distance but you’re not playing a long course so you’d be fine.

Pretty good here from 8-SW. Always have some issues with 6&7.

    Mizuno ST-X PLTNM 230 Driver

I grabbed one of these from Maple Hill on a Black Friday deal at $149. Got the UST Helium shaft at Senior flex. It's 1/2" longer than my Cally Paradym X. Don't know if it's lighter. It sounds and feels different than the Cally but has a very solid tone and feel. Accuracy is rated a bit below the Cally (which is unbelievably straight) but I'm still hitting fairways. It's a REALLY good value at $149.

sdandrea1 So did you sell it yet? No better than anything else and certainly not going to beat your Callaway. That shaft though is something you should look around for. It’s an awesome one. Pair that with the Cally head..

If I were you I’d take the adapter off the Helium and put a Callaway one on it and sell the Mizuno head only with the adapter.

        Thought about that. 👍

backinit I picked up the STZ 220 from them about 2 years ago and it’s unbelievably forgiving. It scored very high for forgiveness in the 22 MGS most wanted testing and it’s proven true for me. On the 9 holer I play most often, hole 9 is an elevated tee, drivable par 4 (259). Hole 1 runs parallel to the right and then a road is next to that. One time I hit one so far off the toe that I felt the head twist and I saw the ball headed in the direction of the road across both fairways. I legitimately thought that the hotel parking lot across the road was in play. I’ll be damned if the thing didn’t hook back toward the green. I didn’t see it down but assumed it ended up near the forward tee box on hole 1 but when I got there I couldn’t find it. My playing partner gave a shout as it was in the green-side bunker. It must have hooked 100 yards or more

Love my Mizuno STx, but it is the latest version, so they can't be had THAT cheaply.

Mine could be had for $135 shipped! Has 14 shots on it. Minty fresh. Head only with headcover and tool $100 shipped.

12 can be adjusted higher and lower and upright.

I put an ad in Buy/Sell👍

Callaway AI Smoke Max D driver, 12 degree, Project X Cypher 40, 5.0 flex. Sounds different than the Paradym X, goes straight, feels solid, but the Aldila Ascent 40 from my Paradym X is softer in the tip. I'm going to try the Aldila in the AI Smoke and report to back.

Callaway AI Smoke HL irons on Project X Cypher 50, 5.0 flex. OMG. THE FIRST MODERN IRON I'VE EVER HIT THAT IS NOT CLICKY-FACED!!! Ball flight is high, straight and lands soft. Center struck shots are orgasmiclally soft - can't tell you hit a ball. Sound is supreme. Sole design is so friendly . Might be the best iron ever? HOLY GRAIL? I have the 8-AW, just ordered the GW (51 degree).

These are also the first strong lofted (43 degree PW) clubs I've owned that actually fly high and then bite for me. Could be the shaft is the perfect fit.

Say what😲? That is not strong. Even the 6i is only 27*.

I have the 6-AW, GW. 1 of those wedges is not needed. At least I found that to be true in my play.

They are launchers though even with steel S flex shafts!! But not extra distances per club, not for me. Great feel as you stated.

(Strong lofts + more distance= TM SIM Max irons.🤣)

Jesus Christ… so there is a AW AND a GW??? They’re supposed to be the same club… gap wedge and approach wedge. That’s a new low to get a consumer to buy another club🙄.

Nice to hear you’re getting the height! As I’ve said before, but nobody listens, is even though the loft is low, the moi and weighting are designed to maintain the proper height. The thing too is like our game improvement qi10 irons, they are geared toward golfers that weren’t producing the speed to be able to get the proper height so we came out with a High Launch version.

              Very happy for you!
