Short accuracy wins every time. I think I averaged 170 yards today, tops. NO roll out as we teed off at 0715 (dew loop). The high lofted driver at 44" is a fairway machine. There were a handful of par 4s that left me 160 out but I managed to get up and down. 5 bogeys, no birdies. The guys we got paired with were awesome gentlemen. One my age, and his son who is built like an NFL linebacker. He bombed a few drivers off the deck and had eagle chances on two holes. Fun day!!!
sdandrea1 On any given day, a player who is not a robot is going to fall into that magic path day and release the hands at the perfect moment for a round or two and prove that most modern drivers are as good as the next.
gawdam, that's not exactly the type of post I want to be reading either.
Was thinking 'Monday qualify', for next week.
Another round with the i500βs and Iβm loving them. Crazy easy to hit consistently, added distance and accurate. I just go with my natural shot shape and the perform. Height is there, spin is on the low side but thatβs ok. A bit more roll out than the drop and stop blades. Iβll probably keep them in the bag for the rest of the year.
azgreg He can hit a 3?
johnnydoom He can hit a 3?
Ummmmm, negative.
johnnydoom maybe a 3 hybrid
So, I've had these in the bag for a little while and they are really solid wedges. Can't complain at all. I'm playing them in 52Β°, 58Β° (at 57Β°), and 62Β°.
Looks like the TM Qi10 core model has earned its spot in the bag. This year I had an OG Sim which was fine but often used the G400 max. I finally took out the Qi10 for a few rounds. Looks great at address and the distance and accuracy was eye opening. I was used to where my max would end up. And it was fine with me. The Qi10 being 5 years newer was a huge improvement in distance. And even though itβs not the same moi as the max I hit it just as straight.
