I took the GigaGolf Pursuit M510 irons out today. Got 12 holes in, 6 on one course, 6 on another. Had to avoid the end of a big outing/tournament. Comments:
- These are way more easy to hit than they look.
- Sweet look when behind the ball - "playa" view.
- Soft mildly-click sound. Not 1025 CS, but 1035 CS sound.
- Turf interaction was fine. They basically have no sole to dig, so ......
- Launch was lower than a shovel but not too low
- Distance is LONGER. I airmailed two greens with the 9i from 110.
- I hit the 5 & 6 irons shockingly well. Not enough clubhead speed here for high flight, but I was able to pick/compress the ball solidly. Mid flight, long run out shots resulted. I have not even tried a 5 or 6 iron since I convinced me that I couldn't hit them (been years). I teed off on our #5 hole, a par 3 over a pond, 165 to center, 140 carry needed. Huge green so clubs from 140 to 180 work. I struck the 5 iron orgasmically, landed mid green, rolled off the back. I almost high-fived myself.
- 80g graphite regular flex shafts feels just right. GigaGolf house brand velvet grips are rough/firm. No bueno.
- 8 iron to W are as easy to hit as any other style club.
This is a blade that mid cappers can play and they're beautiful β€οΈ.
I'm leaving these in the bag for a while.
