Here are some pictures I took of the Moon and Venus over the past couple of evenings.
The first one is from March 23 and the second was taken on March 24. You can see that Venus has passed the Moon. The third picture is a close up of the crescent Moon from March 23.

You may have noticed a very bright star rising in the east at night. It’s Jupiter, and it was at perigree on November 2, meaning it was the closest to Earth it gets during the year. Also, on November 3, Jupiter was at opposition, meaning that the Sun, Earth and Jupiter were in a perfectly straight line.

By the way, I posted a picture back on Feb 17 of the Milky Way over the driving range at my course, the Willows. I showed it to the GM of the golf course and he said they're adding some new pics of the golf course that are on display, and he'd like to include that picture.

I use to do sports photography and you'd be surprised how many of my pics ended up in businesses I never agreed to.

Does anyone watch the ISS flyovers anymore?

Well, as it so happens, I watch the flyovers when I can.

Here is a series of 4" shots of the ISS going past Venus, the Pleiades and the moon taken a couple of years ago

And here is a series of 5” exposures taken a year ago. They started at approximately 6:34 pm and ending at 6:36 pm as the ISS went over. I waved, but I don’t think they saw me.
