The Random Thought Thread
johnnydoom We got good money trading in the Jeep. I wanted to sell it myself, wife was afraid to. Truck we got was a bit more than I wanted to spend but the extra trade money and the fact that itβs a CPO vehicle sealed it. Being CPO it required new Brembo brakes all around and brand new Pirelli Scorpion tires. Almost $5000 right there.
It's hot in Florida right now.

There was a news report on TV last week that said a local school district bought 4 new electric school buses for $400k each. A new diesel bus costs $150k.
Rickochet Can't put a price on saving the earth, everybody knows this.
Bravopilot no, proper answer is
Can't put a price on looking like you're trying to save the earth.
Electric vehicles are worse for the planet....
Walterjn Understand, my sarcastic comment did not come through right. Batteries alone are an issue for the earth
Bravopilot Batteries alone are an issue for the earth
Yep. So are vehicles.
Bravopilot my issue is the flat out hypocrisy of those who are promoting electric vehicles. They claim the vehicles are better for the planet, yet they completely ignore the fact they the mines pulling the materials out of the ground in some 3rd world country are using worn out internal combustion engines. They ignore the fact that there are very few battery recycling plants for those batteries, or that when they catch fire, the fumes from those fires are polluting more than the standard gas or diesel truck.
Let alone that California is trying to mandate electric vehicles all the while not having the infrastructure to support the charging of said vehicles.
azgreg so, where do they get the materials for said batteries? How do they get them? Where does the electricity to charge them come from?? We sure don't have that many nuclear power plants.
Now if they can perfect small nuclear power plants and we can all use those to power vehicles, I'm all for that. I just don't see that happening any time soon, or in my lifetime.
Boy who knew random thoughts were so exciting
Iβm tired
Well, after millions of complaints, PayDay candy bars are getting a name change because it's offensive to those that do not work.
Usually leave the house at 7:15, get to my first stop around 8:40. Today I left at 8 and got to my first stop at 8:35.

Gal Gadot is stunning, but she does not pack as much jiggle as Kate Upton.
johnnydoom Gal Gadot is stunning, but she does not pack as much jiggle as Kate Upton.
IIRC when she was announced to play WW some were upset that she did not pack as much jiggle as Lynda Carter either. I think they're all easy on the eyes
johnnydoom but she does not pack as much jiggle as Kate Upton.
Problem with her is that she jiggles in a lot of places.
With Gal, you gotta shake that ass to jiggle it!!
I absolutely SUCK at hitting fairway woods.
If you hole more putts, your scores will get better.
I suppose it was a long study, but today's headlines state that..... 'Breathing Oxygen Linked to Staying Alive'.
Study was done by the same group of brilliant minds that has discovered that bridges were built to cross rivers.
