Sorry about you CC fraud issues. My daughter's and a friend's mom both had it happen recently. Weird thing is for both cases the exact same amount =$300. Completely separate and unrelated incidents. Maybe this is an amount that doesnt draw attention or something ?
In fact they tried to get a second $300 from my daughter but we set up a low limit ($300) that disallowed another and prompted her getting a note. CC company hasn't reimbursed/covered the charge yet, but it's only $300. Another friends elderly mom fell prey to some scammer in Georgia. They drained her bank account of a few thousand $ and had her also purchase $3000 in Walmart gift cards to send them. Thankfully, they caught the gift card thing before she sent them.
