    Sorry for your bad experience. I live in a small city with one hospital. Everyone there is always absolutely wonderful.

            Apple Cider… Everytime I see it it in a store, it is refrigerated . Today I see it at Walmart on the sales floor, not refrigerated. On the label it says “REFRIGERATE AFTER BUYING”.

                Typhoon Actually, this is common for apple cider, and depends it is pasteurized or not. They recommend keeping it in the fridge to extend its life and as you are learning, fridge shelf space is prime, expensive space in stores. Some makers recognize this on their websites.
