I bag a Taylormade Aeroburner Black driver, M2 5 wood, a Callaway Epic Flash 9 wood and just ordered an Adams 11 wood. After that have a 5-6-7 Taylormade M2 Hybrids then Ping Eye2 8-9-pw, Cleveland Smart Sole Chipper And SW...Bettinardi putter... Works for me and where play...

I played a 7 wood for years, one of my favorite clubs. Took it out for some reason a few years ago but brought it back shortened to be a Perfect Club clone but without all the offset. For some reason I just can't hit any more loft than a 7w the 9 just doesn't work. Hence cutting down the 7 to get it to play the distance I need

Two of the hottest high COR frwy woods that come in 21/22 deg. are my favorite Alpha Vx can adjust spin and a Wishon 929HS both come in 0 face angle or could be adjusted but I like the 0 FA myself. Many other frwy woods can become hook monsters for many of us. Both are hot heads and launch well.

I used 7 woods for years until the fitter put me into hybrids. The Wishons were probably my favorite. Still have a Cally Heavenwood head I should do something with. Trouble with the 7 wood was that I needed a heavier shaft, but not in X flex. Hard to find good 85-95g shafts for the hacker. I used to use steel and probably should have stuck with that.

garyt1957 Tiger and Phil have made it too good for Pro Golfers of today. So much money to play for...That wallet gets really heavy with all the money they have and makes it difficult to get a proper hip turn into the swing. They are all fat and happy rather than hungry from finishing in the top 25 all the time. Will never be any one chasing Jack or Tiger - too much work to be done to do that. Easier to be mediocre and have a fat bank account and lay around on a beach...

Maybe, but he did have some physical issues and 'Winter' weight possibly. Check him again at Augusta time.
If not......he'll start looking like George Archer. 🙄

ode I know 🙂, but Ping calls it a 5 wood for some reason. It's a G400 and I think it'll actually go down to 16.5 or up to 18.5. I bought it to replace the Callaway 4 wood that I gave to my son after seeing him hit it so good when we shared it for a day.

Bravopilot how can a Heavenwood hit it bad, ever?

At 43+ inches, it's a 3 wood, which most hackers can't hit properly and it's not due to the loft.
That's what got my attention.

7 wood or hybrid... I’ve always been a fairway wood fan vs. a hybrid. I think it’s up to the person and the course conditions they play. DJ will take that club in and out of play based off off course conditions such as green holding.
