I would have moved the ball...Not taking a chance on hitting a root and injuring already injured wrist; or hitting the tree and taking one to the boys; or breaking my club - they aren't free for me...Just sayin...

I find jeans are ok in the Fall and early Spring but they have to be the flannel lined ones. Of course I live in Western Pennsylvania where the weather changes every 20 minutes and the accuracy of the weather prognosticators is slightly lower than Phil's annual predictions on Feb. 2nd...
I agree. Many amateur/public venues allow jeans. I wear flannel-lined pants in cold weather golf, but PGA TOUR/SWEATPANTS? Really?
sdandrea1 Our semi-private course allows jeans. I don't wear them because I think the casual khaki pants I wear to work are more comfortable.
Some of the younger guys wear sweatpants on the colder days. Not a big deal. I just got some nice sweatpants off Amazon cheap that I would golf in. Nice soft stretch fabric with pockets and if you didn't see the drawstring you might think they were high end golf pants.
I've never played a round of golf in a pair of pants.

Ever seen a tournament under the lights? Love the idea. Too bad there's a time difference. Golf in primetime would feel very different. Light pole hazards now a factor. I want to see someone turn out a light.

Makes sense to me. It's an "open". The qualifying terms are pretty wide. Glad to see it
The U.S. Open is open to any professional, or to any amateur with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 0.4
