Wonder brand white bread, Jif creamy peanut butter, and either Smucker's or Welch's grape jelly. And preferably the squeeze jelly bottle. Lots of jelly and peanut butter, and a nice tall glass of 2% milk to wash it all down.

It doesn't matter the PB or what kind of Jelly/Jam/Preserves. You put PB on one slice and the sweet on the other. If you do it any other way you should be ashamed of yourself!

Just had one today for lunch. Jif, creamy and plenty of it, on Aunt Millie's white bread. MUST be spread to an even thickness. Not picky on the other slice, usually prefer grape though. On another note, while camping we tried PB & J hobo pies, good stuff!

Jelly, Jam and Preserves each have different consistency and spread differently. Preseves actually has pieces of the fruit in it. Jelly has the smoothest consistency and is made by crushing a fruit and discarding the solid chunky leftovers. ... Of the three, preserves use the most of the fruit and are simply chopped smaller pieces of fruit that are mixed with sugar to keep them fresh and combined with a syrup or jam to contain them.

I think it costs the same. Preserves is easier to make.....less processing. My dad raised 4 kids on a USAF E8 salary. No privilege here.

Crunchy PB. Bread can vary as long as it's not plain white; potato wheat is good stuff. Jam can vary too, but my favorite might be blackberry.
