sdandrea1 Always hard for me to understand how people settle in some places. One day a trillion years ago a covered wagon (maybe) went through North Dakota and the husband said to the wife, "Martha this is it" and actually stayed after the first winter.
Been to bases in North Dakota and when pipes are above ground due to temps, I knew it wasn't the Holy Grail. But others have disagreed for many years.
Flown long (3 hrs+) low levels (400 Ft) over parts of Canada (Maple Flag) and looked out and saw many lakes and the rare cabin and thought it looked cold and desolate but people stayed. A heart bunch. Maybe why 90% of Canadians live near the US border but that is too cold for me now.
