I recall it being -20 back in the town I grew up in and walking in boat shoes with no socks a couple of blocks to a buddy's house.
Also, one of my HS friends had a hot tub off the back of his house with a deck. It was 0 out and we were all yucking it up out in the tub. I decided I wanted to try something. I got out of the tub and belly flopped down the hill in the back of his house. From the temp of the hot tub to the cold of snow at 0 degrees. Unforgettable. Like a million little needles going into you at once but you could feel them all individually. Quite the shock to the system. Glad I got to go back in the tub after.
