I LOVE that Texas is on its own grid. That's usually a great thing. It's been a very bad thing during this historic weather event.
POTUS declared us a national emergency so I would assume FEMA funds would be available, and should be available. If someone had no power and their pipes froze and burst, they should be compensated. That's no fault of theirs.
Even in our case, we've had blackouts since Monday at 208am. If something happened to us, I would hope there would be relief, but I wouldn't be counting on it.
Very sad to see some of the faces on TV about ready to snap over not having power, food, water and no timetable to get power back.
Just watched an interview with the ERCOT guys. Best case is power is back sometime tomorrow morning. It looks like blackouts for the next two days, or more, is the more likely scenario. We may be exposed to a new way of doing things here shortly. They're trying and they should try making it more equitable. Many who've had no power should get ours and we should go down like they did. Ain't right some have had power the entire time, while others none. We've been in the middle so we may be moved to the full power or no power category but if our pipes burst because they shut it off I really hope there's some help for us.
